Is it possible to have a Showcase Maple/Rosewood neck finished in Black Gloss rather than the standard 4 clear options listed (i.e. Clear Gloss, Clear Satin, Vintage Gloss, Vintage Satin)?

Sure; any unfinished neck can be finished with the options on this grid:

i dont know about showcase necks though...
i think that you are limited to clear and VT.

My dragonburst had a neck from showcase on it.

It was Mahogany w/ ebony fretboard and an ebony veneer.  all unfinished.

I spoke to bob directly because their neck machine broke that summer and my body was ready to be shipped bu tth eneck wasn't even started yet. so he offered the showcase neck to me which was marked down and painted the whole thing gloss black like I wanted, Even painted over the veneer that I didn't want (which normally is an extra charge but he waived it for me because it wasn't what I had ordered)

So i think Jacks right. why woudln't they put whatever finish you want on an unfinished neck from showcase?

Yep, Warmoth can do any of the available finishes on a Showcase neck in most cases.

I thought maple necks cannnot be dyed.

That is correct, with exception of some peghead veneers; OP was confused whether Showcase neck could get any option from neck finishing matrix in Paint section.

I re-read the original post.  He wanted to know if a neck could be done in black gloss, which is not in the neck finishing options, but possible.
