It should be illegal for LP's to be equipped with coil taps. Like...they should come to your house and arrest you.  :laughing7:

But that neck joint!!!  :headbang:

Definitely post pics when it arrives. Also the weight! I have considered getting one of those a few times, but the specter of receiving a 12 lbs guitar scares me off.

THIS is what should be illegal: I'll begrudge you your 9-string if you really want it bad enough, as long as you keep it safely in your bedroom where I'm sure they all are. But putting a Kahleresque monstrosity on it?

Agreed, 7-8-9 strings are just retarded to me... :dontknow:

I was considering a 7-string when I was playing P4 tuning. I don't think it makes much sense in standard tuning. The problem is with a tuning even as large as fourths (ie standard) the bass strings are getting tubby and the treble strings are approaching the limits of tension. For pretty much any scale length.

Here are some photos.  The Agiles come with a 3/4 inch maple top so no laminate or photo top.  Only complaint is it is heavy.  Thisis my 1st neck thru so I am excited to play it.

Well should have a lot of bottom end being so heavy...

Yes t does.  I am playing with the pick up height a bit.  The neck pickup tapped to single coil sounds great!

There's a nice looking Agile baritone LP on local CL. This is from the ad:

" Also worth mentioning, this guitar is heavy. Like, ‘weighs a million pounds’ heavy. It’s a big ‘ol dense piece of mahogany. Some people like that, some people don’t but there’s no getting around it. "

That purple burst is nice as.

On the subject of 7 strings, this video is a really good example of a 7 string being used for some cleaner stuff. Has a really tight bass end with the multiscale. I personally love being able to play with the 7th string in Drop A or even lower with Metal. Pretty fun. Don't think I would own a guitar with more than 7 strings though, or buy another 7 string.

He should be making musak loops for elevators...

Been eyeing Agile for awhile. But as I get (gasp) older anything above about 7.5 pounds gets increasingly worrisome. Last time I hefted an LP in a brick and mortar place I was astonished at how heavy it was on the one end where the body appears to be.....OK for sittin but not so much for standing upright.
