Greetings,

Please read the GOM rules, which have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.

In turn, those images will posted to this message, which is October's submission thread.

I built this Fireburst Strat with a showcase body and neck:

Body: Chambered Swamp Ash with Flame Maple top. Contoured heel. Fireburst finish with trans red back.
Neck: Vintage Modern. Goncalo Alves with Kingwood fret board. Standard thin, 6150 frets, Graph Tech TUSQ nut.
Hardware: GFS Brass block trem with Graph Tech String Saver classic saddles. Schaller locking tuners.
Electronics: Fender Eric Johnson pickup set, master volume only.

My 2nd chambered Swamp Ash with Maple top body and I really like the tone. Swamp Ash alone can be a little scooped sounding for my taste but the chambers add a nice warmth to it. The Goncalo Alves neck helps bring out some nice mids also. I usually go for hotter pickups but with the warm wood tones the Fender EJ set is excellent

I can tell you from personal experience much of it is due to the size of the photo (including resolution) that is uploaded to the hosting site.  Try taking your photos at a higher resolution.  The more mega pixels the better.

This is actually the first time I've put together a guitar and my first post on this forum as well  :icon_biggrin:
I've signed up just in time to enter the competition  :toothy10:

ICY...you are appealing to all my senses...LOVE THE BLUE....LOVE the GOLD...LOVE THE FLOYD...The rosewood neck is killer...I just cannot get past the CBS style headstock....

Probably still have my vote though :icon_thumright:

WHAT  I LOVE big headstocks !  :toothy12: :toothy12: :toothy12:

What I love the most is the bird inlays. Actually I love everything about it because I built it to my dream specs.

Now I have my metal and hard rock territory covered, I need to build one for the vintage strat tone.  :icon_biggrin:

Wonder if the GAS will ever stop.....
