Too bad nobody knows a machinist... :icon_scratch:

I'm still in the market...shoot me a quote!
Well, I'd need some dimensions on the thing first, from just the photo's it's a pretty simple part.

I can measure up mine if you like...
Yes, please... :icon_thumright:

Crap - I just realized that means taking the thing off the guitar - which means taking the strings off!

Give me a day or two...

Crap....you guys are making me feel like I better buy this thing no matter how much DR6 wants to charge me!

I have a deep seated love of 12 strings. The two people most directly responsibile for me wanting to pick up the guitar both played 12 strings. But man.... A six string can be in tune, but a 12 string never is. And it takes four times as long to tune a 12 string to "as good as we're getting" than it does to get a 6-string into "perfect"

Too late.  I measured in thou.  Let me know if you need more, but I think it's fully described.  I'll post some pics ina bit

Some notes:
1 - the part is plated, which probably contributes to some not-quite-standard measurements, like 0.253" for the width (seems pretty close to 1/4" don't it?)
2 - the part is highly polished and all sharp edges are rounded over.  This is not captured in the drawing.
3 - string holes are relieved on both sides.  again not captured on drawing.
4 - the two screws appear to be 4-40.

Update!
5 - the scale on the drawing should be 2:1, not 2:11!! (&$#(&^)  :tard:

I see you drew that in Davecad. Nice! I'm actually looking for a compass that works with a mechanical pencil.

Now that's a proper drawing!.....You should have seen some of the stuff I had to work off of back when I was machining. A lot of times the drawing's looked like they should have had Public School #39 1st. Grade Class printed at the top.  :headbang:

Whoa.....who's idea was it to put pearl buttons on the octave strings? That is freakin' brilliant!

The drawing is stellar too! You guys are amazing.

Yep!! Thanks for reminding me. I was planning to replace mine, but it didn't occur to me at the time that you could just replace the buttons. Honestly it's one of those "why isn't this the default configuration???" ideas.

I vote that the next project should be another double. A Telecaster/Lap Steel combo.........No, really.... A Jr Brown Tribute band would be the Bomb Man,,,,,,,,,,,,, :headbang:
