That string retainer is good machining and I was wondering, probably only in a small batch, if the company would look at engaging Doug to make some for you (with the W logo), so it's listed in the Hardware section for when folks do a 12 string build?  :icon_scratch:  :icon_thumright:
I know it's not up to you to do Hardware procurements, but dang you've stumbled upon something that 12 string builders might want...

What you're suggesting had already occurred to me. Though I agree it's a great idea, I'm not sure it can be done at this moment. We are already so busy it's preventing from doing a million other things we really want to get to. I'm not sure a low-dollar, low-selling item like a string retainer for 12-strings is going to find its way to the top of the priority heap.


Nevertheless I am going to suggest it the next time I have a chance.


For the time being I'm going to direct people directly here, and to DR6 specifically. I'm doing a follow-up video in the next few weeks and mentioning UW prominently....it's basically going to be a commercial for UW.

I agree, it's not really a "hot" item and they would more than likely sit around a while before being bought up. 12 strings aren't really that popular as 6 are I would imagine... :dontknow:

They are even less popular than basses, if you can believe that!  :toothy11:

I like them. The man who plays 26" bass drums, 15" snare drums, and 13's on his guitar. That should tell you you're getting into 3 sigma territory.
