Naw, that's where I half-peeled off the protective plastic stuff. If you don't do it before you attached the pots, then you can never completely get it off. I always take it off there first, then remove the rest right before I string it up.

Thought about that. The bridge routs, in particular the location of the string-thru holes would make it a pain. I would have to dowel out, re-drill, etc.
What I think I'm going to do is replace the six-string tuners with lockers. That should make it a lot easier....less winding.
