The new Foo Fighters album is up for listening on their website. I'm a minute into the first song and it's so far it's pretty sick. Listening time.  :rock-on:

Never been a steady fan of the Foo, but this is their best album yet. Check out Youtube, of course, if you don't want to buy album...yet. :hello2:

Love 2 songs off the album, cant remember what they are, but the rest never really caught my attension.

I can't remember the last time a rock record had received this much positive reviews. I've heard a couple of songs...white limo and rope....and they're both pretty rockin songs.

I know, right.  There has always been at least one song from them I liked, but on this album, all of the songs are either great or growing on me.  They caught me off guard thinking they had the same old sound to offer. It has been several years since I would of considered buying a rock record in general, but this is the first time I payed for an album in years.  They deserve it. Did you check out the white limo video?  It's hillarious. LEMMY!  This entire album was recorded analog in their garage, flawless, and alive.  The old ways are the best ways.  It makes me despise digital all the more for what it takes away from the original source.

I love their sense of camp.  They got a 3rd guitar player now (I'm counting Dave)?  I saw a Moserite and thought maybe Pat Smear was back, but it looks like a WWF version of him it's that's the case.

Pat Smear is back and playing with gloves (watch the Rope video). And this is the best new music I've heard in months.

Bluefirebird, last album Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace might be worth a listen. I thought it sounded pretty different from anything before it personally.

It's the songs like that that make 'em good, not Best of You or Everlong.  :icon_scratch:

There are much better songs on that abum.  I liked "Let it Die" the most on that album.  That song's timing and theme actually fit my life when it was released.  I really like Wasting Light, I haven't been this fired up over an album in a long time. They keep growing and surprising me.  "Best of You" and "Everlong" weren't their greatest songs  :icon_thumright:  I bought "One by One"  back in the day too and was very disappointed.  They have more than made up for it since then.

Ha, I was talking to my best friend and we both agreed last night that Everlong is the best Foo Fighters song of all time.

Way better than Best of You.  Everlong was one of my favorites from Colour and the Shape, but lost some of it's appeal over time for me anyways.  :dontknow:
