Nashville tele w/P90

Very classy look ya got going on there.  I really like the color she turned out.  :icon_thumright:
I would be anxious to hear about those ferrules as well.
Keep the pics rollin' &  :rock-on:

Find a friend with a metal lathe. Unless I'm not understanding what's required, those ferrules would be pretty easy to turn out at whatever configuration you need. And maybe I'm a little out of touch coming from a motorcycle background, but everyone knows someone with access to a lathe, no?

I freakin wish I had a buddy with a lathe!!!

Nope I have to pay the machine shop just like everyone else that doesn't know a guy who has a metal lathe.  I don't even know a guy who knows a guy who has one.

Stop wait what's that sound everybody look what's goin down.  I know you (sort of in a cyber way) and you know somebody.....................  :icon_thumright:

Nah I rarely need a metal lathe so I wouldn't worry about me hitting you up for a favor anytime soon, don't sweat it!!

But to the point of the OP..... SOMEBODY does make the ferrules in question

Well, yeah, having spent way too many hours around Italian motorcycles I know about five somebody's with lathes/mills but it's kinda moot since I've got this tucked away in a corner of my basement:

  :headbang:

It needs work so I don't use it much. Don't have to, I work at a development facility with a full prototype shop just down the hall.  :laughing7:

Seriously though, you guys need to get out more. How do people get through life without having friends with machine tools???  :dontknow:  :laughing7:

Ferrules update: Warmoth drills the string holes too deep for any of the flush-type ferrules to work. You need to drill a counterbore yourself, a pretty precision operation even with a good drill press, or just deal. I'm just going to deal with it on this guitar, it's not supposed to be flashy anyhow.  :tard:
Back from S. America today, I'll get to work on the waxing this week.

Good point, I've always got people needing something machined, fab'd or welded.... :icon_biggrin:

I designed and machined some custom license plate brackets for some of my R6 buddies, including my ex technical manager.... :laughing7:

Sorry Tim, I hijacked you for a minute.... :icon_biggrin:

quickie test fit and couple Qs:
1. I'm wondering if I should try and tarnish the control plate and knobs, or polish the bridge - they don't really match at all right now. That barden bridge is a couple years old and really loves to tarnish.
2. My plan is to slap on some paste wax and buff it out, but I kinda like it as is. Yer opinions - needs a wax job or leave it a bit hairy?
3. If I do end up tarnishing the control plate / knobs somehow, I may want to beat up the scratch plate just a hair as well, or at least leave it in the sun for a couple of days. Suggestions? I'm not really looking for a 'relic' per se, but 1/2 of this really is used parts, and I'd be happy if the whole thing just had a 'used' vibe instead of 1/2 & 1/2.

Tarnish, it would fit better. Well, that's MY opinion, at least :toothy11:

It's looking cool! But I think you should change the screws on the single-coil to black ones, these chrome ones are looking weird...
