NAD - Legacy 3

Well, really it was NAD a couple weeks ago, but I've been too busy with other stuff to post it. I'd been debating between the Mesa T/A 30 and the Legacy 3 for a while, but two things really won me over to the L3; the footswitchable boost and it being 100 watts, but switchable to 50 or 15.

So without further ado...

It's a totally new rig for me really:
The new Strat - Boss TU3 Tuner - Rocktron VII Deadly Sins - Dunlop Original CryBaby Wah - Boss OC3 Octaver - Carvin Legacy 3 - Effects Out - MXR Micro Flanger - Vox Time Machine - Effects In - Carvin 212S (with GT12s)

I'm totally lovin' it too. Cranked up this thing is so brown and smooth and rich. The new Strat just kills through it. Thanks to Carvin for such a great amp and the guys at the showroom for letting me come in so many times to play around with it before I finally got off my duff.

Congrats! New amps are always so much fun. I haven't played one, but I understand those units are pretty sweet. Plus, Carvin makes high-quality stuff so you probably don't have to worry about it.

Thanks Cagey. It's really a blast to play. So smooth and so rich. The new Strat just kills through it. I've found that using lower channel volumes and higher master volume gets into some really sweet tone. But the problem is that this thing is LOUD!

So I'm looking into an attenuator and have looked over the THD Hot Plate and the Ultimate Attenuator. I'm thinking the Hot Plate is the right price and feature set that I want, but wanted to get some opinions before I took the plunge.

Anybody with experience with either of those attenuators? Any other recommendations? I'm open to any suggestions at this point.

I don't have personal experience with these two but definitely don't go with the THD. It's an old design and it will probably change how your amp sounds and feels. I have only used the Bat Cat Leash and I didn't like it, it does what I described earlier. The new hot thing in attenuators is the Rivera Rockcrusher. It has many options and it costs half the money of the old hot thing... http://youtu.be/bPsQR-T088c
