Obviously, it's a matter of personal preference.
For me, I like a rosewood or ebony fretboard on a dark-colored body, and a maple fretboard (or canary -- something light colored) on a light-colored body. For neck wood, I like maple or roasted maple, but rosewood and pau ferro look nice, as well as wenge and all the other more exotoc woods. I go for light weight and stability.
