Just picking up where I left off. Painted the pickup and trem route with shielding paint to class the place up a bit.  Will do the rear control and spring housing cavities tomorrow.  Would have used dye, but was concerned it would penetrate too deeply and bloom beneath the clear.  I like it.

Pardon the dark pics. Progress. Finished painting. Did some hardware and electronics work. Laced up the switch. Ready to add threaded inserts for pickups.  Not sure I’m gonna use a deep panel jack again. Wish I had a rubber washer for it. See it coming loose soon.

Corrected radius for the compound radius neck. Forgot to put on the new, shorter, big brass block. Doh!

Hard to tell if I’ve got the radius correct. I know it’s at least 17” on the saddles. My gauges aren’t rocking in them, but I realize that’s not the truest test.

The larger the radius, the less difference there is from one to the next. Starts to get pretty flat. I seriously doubt you'd be able to feel the difference between 17" and 18".

I noticed the super switch and the two pickups, do you have something in mind for the different selector positions?

Ya. A variation of Ibanez wiring. Bridge, bridge parallel, bridge/neck, bridge/neck split, neck.

Using DiMarzio’s: a VV 54 Pro neck and Transition bridge.  Have a pair of BK Juggernauts in my RG for more modern tones

A good selection Frank which should sound good.

Thanks man. The 54 pro is the nicest sounding noiseless single coil I’ve yet heard. It’s nicer than the 99% of the single coils I’ve used, in fact. Very juicy. Hoping to hear good things from the Transition bridge.

How do you like the claw?

An unforeseen benefit of the claw that I found online - a global tuning mechanism.  Sometimes when I'm performing the temp is off enough to disrupt tuning across all strings evenly.  I can simply use the common 3mm allen key to adjust the tension to bring the guitar into perfect tune in these instances.  My other Warmoth with the 1996T is getting one of these next month.

Quantum notice!  Warmoth is nuts!  Custom neck was ordered less than 2 weeks ago and it's en route!  :guitarplayer2:

This would be a good candidate for the Burnt Chrome Floyd :headbang1:

Lol I test fit a burnt chrome juggernaut in the bridge.  Didn't have the effect I was expecting!
