More Maple/Maple Conversion necks in showcase!

OK, kidding kidding. But seriously what is with all the maple/maple 24 3/4" necks?  I know my current project isn't the most popular neck warmoth sells and I'm not expecting every little feature I wanted to show up in the showcase, but I don't think it's all that unusual.  And I'd also wager if you plot out a graph of popular sellers, there'd be a little spike at wenge/ebony/conversion. Maybe not my profile, maybe not my inlay or binding choice. I'd certainly expect more 'warm toned' choices in conversion necks. But I already know I'm wierd, how many people walk their cat on a leash?

I'd think that Maple/Maple might be among the least popular combinations for short scale strat necks.

you're probably wrong here unfortunately. when push comes to shove, the big W makes what they can sell. Therefore, if they are making them, they probably have sold in the past.

OTOH - they could be piling up in the showcase (and thus discounted) because they made a bunch that AREN'T selling.

could be. they also tend to make things in batches. they may have been low on maple ones so they made a bunch. I've noticed that necks can come in patches.
