Big ups to Updown who did so much to get this finished !

Now I will spend some money on a better camera & post in completed Strat builds...

That's a beautiful piece of work! Good job! You must be very pleased! Does it sound/play as well as you expected?

Excellent neck/body combo. :icon_thumright:

I like the subtle finish on the top. Great pieces of Pau Ferro on the neck, as well.

(Yay, 4000 posts!)

"Does it sound/play as well as you expected?"

Backstory : I only got back into guitar 2 1/2 years ago after a  l- o- n- g- time away.

I've never had a Strat before so I can only compare it with my Tele.

But the neck is brilliant - not quite a satin feel, but close.

The p/ups are awesome - really versatile set of tones.

The whole package exceeds my expectations - I can grow old(er) with this beauty !

great build!  looks warm and classic! what was your final costs?  im sure its a better value then a $ 1,600 fender deluxe.  mine was $950 plus pickups i had for $90 and $30 knobs  so...$1,070..blue washed strat..

I'll have to go back & total up the full costs but, yes, I'm sure it's less than an American Special.

And it's totally unique. No-one else on the planet owns a guitar exactly like this.

Plays beautifully and sounds amazing.

Do it, folks... it's not that hard...
