Oooooh! :icon_thumright:
This is interesting for me, as I'm building my own web based visual builder for a lark in my spare time. Being a web dev, I'm building it in HTML [Hyper Text Markup Language], CSS [Cascading Style Sheets] and SVG [Scalable Vector Graphics] with images for wood grain only - no JS [JavaScript] if I can, to keep it as small as possible and to give myself a challenge... Creating the artwork for various components in Illustrator for their vector lines is gonna be fun - especially when I have to create the artwork for the likes of a Floyd Rose...
My reason was mainly for learning curve on SVG manipulation for my own education and I though I may as well do something functionally useful.
One thing I knew before I started, was the amount of options for various components that would be required and while I could just stack layers of transparent images of every option and toggle their views, that means a huge amount of images to be loading - something I wanted to avoid, as my version is intended to be tiny, meaning fast to load and of course mobile friendly too - Responsive Web Design FTW!
At the moment I have a Stratocaster with basic options that are working. More will be added soon and when ready I'll share the link if there's any interest [especially for constructive criticism / feedback to improve things].
Note: this is NOT competition for Warmoth by any stretch of the imagination! :laughing7:
Gonna play around with the Warmoth one now for research... Hope I don't get the urge to start a new build as I can't afford to at the moment! :sad1:
