Roasted Ash :turtle:

We have a winner!

OK boss, any hint about when these are gonna hit the street?

They are close. We have a whole line-up off cool new stuff we will be introducing in the second half of this year....and these are first up. I'm going to predict these will be hitting the website by the end of August. Then we are doing a massive Koa push....we have decided to release another batch of the absolutely killer Koa we have stockpiled. After that....a new and extremely limited neck wood that looks freaking killer...and one I bet none of you have seen before.

And sometime in there....I don't know exactly when yet.... a VERY limited edition tribute body, complete with top and back laminate, custom off-menu binding, custom off-menu pickguard and, umm...matching bridge surround. I wonder what those could be? ??? :icon_scratch:    :icon_thumright:

I could see a Mooncaster getting that treatment.

As a matter of fact, I do have a standing desk.  :headbanging:

I'm excited about fancy new limited neck woods. I was really close to jumping on one of those Brazilian rosewood necks, now I'm glad I didn't.

The Brazilian Ebony has been a surprisingly great seller....as in we were not prepared for how well it has sold. We are scrambling to turn more wood into necks as we speak.

However, for my personal tastes, this new wood is WAY cooler. It looks absolutely killer! Take note: unlike Brazilian Ebony, this new wood will not be a permanent thing. We were able to get our hands on a VERY limited supply, and once it is gone it will likely be gone for a loooong time...as in we may not get any more. If you end up seeing something you like, you better have your money ready.  :icon_thumright:

Hey Aaron? I'm assuming that a Roasted Ash body would NOT need a finish, similar to a Roasted Maple neck. Yes? No?

Honestly, no idea. They haven't given me all the "rules" yet. It's only available for bodies, not for necks, so the finish thing isn't as that critical anyway.

Actually, there's no such requirement on bodies anyway is there? I think you'd still want one - structural stability is a different issue from french fry grease, sweat, beer and sugary sodas.

Plus, while it is a much thicker piece of wood, it is still a piece of wood. If you travel/play out a lot with a unfinished body it would likely start to move around on you.

OK....fine. Stop twisting my arm. I need it to play guitar.

Here is a dang sneak preview. Don't tell anyone I showed you this.

That's some amazing wood. Love the grain. That's the kind of stuff you build a guitar around.

When looking at it I feel ... hypnotized ... must have ... this neck ... now ...  :tard:
