We're now announcing the May, 2013 Guitar of the Month contest! May's contest will be "Open Category" and requires at least a Warmoth neck or body to qualify.
Please read the GOM rules, which may have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.
Submissions must be sent, to uwfgom@gmail.com, and contain two images no greater than 1024x768, along with your description and details of the instrument.
In turn, those images will posted to this message, which is May's submission thread.
Submissions will be accepted from May 1st until May 7th, so get your cameras clicking!

Two p-rails wired with all four options (p90, hotrail single coil, humbucker both parallel and series), the middle pup is a duncan jb jr wired with an on/on/on series/split/parallel. The third knob is not a tone control it's an Artec QDD2 pre-amp which is a 5-way rotary switch with bypass and 4 types of gain (plus a global trimpot). The 5 way strat switch is wired B>B/N>N>M/N>M. So electronically I have the bases well covered imo and then some, or as I call it "the swiss army knife" of baritones. The tone control uses and orange drop cap as well.

Finish:
custom oil painting by Archer Dougherty (my wife). All of the color is oil paint, nothing was airbrushed or dyed/stained. The oil painting was finished over with a high gloss lacquer. With the exception of the painting, I did the finish on both neck and body.

Stratocaster style shape, with HSH pickup routing, recessed Schaller Floyd, one volume, one tone, and two pickup selector switches. Black hardware, including a custom neckplate by DangerousR6. The control cavity cover matches the lam top and accent line.
