Very cool! I had wondered what that kind of technique would look like with something other than mahogany. I think it gives it a kind of mystical look, like the tree absorbed silver as it was growing and it created deposits within the grain structure.
I don't know if I'll ever do it but I've thought about trying a doghair technique with mahogany with metallic silver filler and black stain. I've also got a totally nuts idea along with that, mixing glow in the dark pigment powder(ideally white that glows green) with white filler. I have no idea if it'd work but I may have to test it one day. I'd call it Irradiated Doghair haha.
