Hello all, I was curious to know if anyone has replaced the pickguard on a Kramer Focus VT 211s or comparable model Kramer with a Warmoth strat replacement pickguard and had success? I tried to use the Warmoth template but, trying to piece together the two page printout, I wasn't sure it was together correctly and therefor didn't want to just say it didn't fit.

Thank you!!  :headbanging:

Are you sure you're dealing with a Kramer Focus VT 211s? Reason I ask is, they don't have pickguards.

If you think you might want to try and fit a Strat pickguard on whatever it is you have, they're pretty inexpensive because there are approximately 23 bajillion Strats out there and people change the 'guards on them all the time. These guys sell pickguard material and pre-fabricated 'guards pretty reasonably. Strat 'guards run between $14 and $20, so it makes little sense to fab your own.

I have attached two pics of the guitar in question. I wished I had taken a pic of the sticker on the back headstock that says "VT Series". It was a guitar purchased in a starter pack about 6 years ago, roughly.

Thanks for the link, I will check them out!!

Well, there certainly is a pickguard on there!  :laughing7:

I've not owned one; I was going by pictures from stores that sell them.

It does look very much like a Strat 'guard, though. Maybe if you took it up to a local music store that does repair work, they would have a cast-off or unpackaged 'guard you could just hold up against yours and see how close they are.

Sorry about restarting this thread, but I have no idea how to post on the mobile version of this site.
I have a similar problem, I have what I believe to be a Kramer Striker 300ST, the only problem is that I only have the control cavity covered, and I'm not 100% sure that the standard strat pickguard from Warmoth, will fit it.
I printed out the template for the 7/8 strat, and that definitely didn't fit, but the standard was pretty close.
Should I just try going to a guitar store too (where the options that I'd want on the pickguard most likely won't be available), or should I try ordering a pickguard from Warmoth, and worst comes to worst, sanding and fitting it?

Rather than Warmoth, you'll be better off going to a proper custom pickguard company and have them make you one by copying your original (or a tracing), or if you can't do that, many will have handled Kramer pickguards in the past and may have a 300ST on file. I know Pickguard Heaven has done a lot of Kramers and Terrapin have done various super-Strats and will take on nearly any custom job. Warmoth's guards are fine for their own bodies but if you're going to be ordering anything custom then you may as well go to a proper pickguard company who can make sure you get exactly what you need.

For what it's worth, a standard 'import' Strat w/Floyd pickguard should cover the Kramer's routing, though the screws won't line up and the curves are just a little different. (But will still cover everything). Kramer guards varied a lot in the past, but the basic routes were always along the lines of a normal Strat and 99% of regular Strat parts would fit them. So even if you're hell-bent on something custom, might be worth grabbing a cheap generic Strat guard and see how it fits, and potentially use that as a template. Better than paying for a Warmoth guard for the same results, at any rate.
