Just found this in the showcase:

Made me wonder if it's possible to dye a flame maple neck black to match the black dyed masked binding and if Warmoth would do that...?
Now that would be cool!
 
I think they just might do that. I know they will paint the neck back. im not 100percent sure about dye tho.
 
I think I've seen a flame maple neck with a green dye job on it around here somewhere..
 
That's a cool strat. The black dye will look like a pinstripe, but when you get closer, it will be that little detail that sets the guitar apart.
 
Looks great, but I would not get a black neck, just maple or canary with an ebony board with pearl dots or no dots, and maybe a white painted headstock face. Strats look weird with painted necks.
 
The Maple used for necks is different than the bodies and does not take a dye well.  Transparent finishes are fine though.  However, I think the only time they do neck/body finish matching is when they are both done at the same time.
