The madness has started again. This is my second Jazzmaster with a Floyd. First time I did a recessed Tremolo and a locking nut with a maple neck, This time around I'm going with a Non-Recessed Tremolo using a old school Floyd Rose without the fine tuners and a Roasted Maple Neck with a Graph Tech nut (non locking)
Happy to share as the parts roll in and planning on doing a build Video too....
Just received the neck yesterday

Nice looking neck.  I am looking forward to seeing this one completed.  Since you are using a non-locking nut, will you be using locking tuners?  I'm curious to know in the final build if it will stay in tune after dive bombs with the GraphTech nut.  I have a neck with a GraphTech nut that I was going to put on a guitar with a Floyd, but I was going to modify the neck for a Floyd nut shelf.  If locking tuners alone will do the job, perhaps I will just leave the nut, as is.

Body showed up as did the Floyd Rose and the Lace Sensor pickups, will be doing a Youtube build video too
incoming pictures

Is it possible to go wrong with a Warmoth roasted maple neck? I think not!

Looking forward to this build...

A Jazzmaster without goofy controls, a dingbat bridge, a retarded vibrato and useless pickups? Plus, a roasted Maple neck? What could possible be wrong with that?

Good for you! Hopefully, this will become a trend. That's gonna be a damn nice guitar!

Should be killer!  I can't wait to see how you like the bridge/nut/tuner combo as I'm thinking the same for my next Tele HH build.

Good stuff Axl12!

I too love build vids, so thanks for taking time to do one! Definitely interested to see how this progresses and I'm now intrigued to try Alumitone pickups myself - initially saw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JTEqGa1Rdg and now your vid, it's getting my GAS fired up again and I've already got my next build planned!

Is that a block of foam, wrapped in a towel you're using for your work bench?

Thanks for the interest Frown, yes it's a foam block I scored from work and wrapped it in material so protect the parts as I work..

Part 2 of the build coming soon
Been busy, back on track

All finished plays great. Big fan of the Lace Sensor pickups loads of clarity.
