Ok here is the neck cut and logo is on satin laq finish applied 3 coats.

Body is in sanded it, looks like the router bit needed to be replaced, but sanded it all out.

question should I use white or black pickups?

White pickups.  They look fine with a white pickguard, and look great with a black or tortoise shell pickguard.

Oh, and a bit overkill on shielding the pickguard.

Talk to Bill at Hipshot he told me that the template was right were I had it. I hope so...

Start the sand sealer today, the doles stick out sucks.... oh well will have to do some painting to hide it.

Well the first sunburst was nice. Not bad for my first try.
But I hosed the paint job by screwing up, and rushing.
Had to strip it all down and retried it. Did not come out right so, I went completely tobacco brown.
Sucks but it looks good so far...
