Grover's the only choice for aggressive metal, really? DURABILITY, NOT TONE...

I think Epiphone uses Grovers as standard issue on many of their guitars, it there was an issue, they probably wouldn't.  I think many of their guitars "chug" pretty well.

for my money...these are one of the best...they look, feel, and tune awesome.  they also make a locking version

I have also heard they are filled with a space age alloy they not only helps keep a guitar in tune, but will assist pinch harmonics as well as improved bad timing and playing... :toothy10: :toothy12: :laughing8: :laughing8: :laughing8:

No way! are these the new Unobtainium Gotoh's I've heard about?!

I'm told Tibetan Monks Craft these while standing in heavy water, using solely Meteor Fragments!

After that a pagan Demon Curses them, Forever turning them into the ultimate metal Monsters!

:headbang:

I KEEEED.

I'm still digging on my Schallers. but those are some gorgeous Tuners.

+1 I've got those on a couple of guitars. They feel solid, look sharp and vastly improve both tone and skill. Forget a talent pedal; get those Gotohs!  :laughing7:

I don't see the tuners having any effect on your chug - when you have your dual rect cranked up, you can chug with a Tesco Del Rey  :guitarplayer2:
Unfortunately, many of those who chug, can't afford dual rect.  :(

I use Gotoh tuners, makes no difference to me, cause I got a locking nut.

I have sperzels, schallers, planet waves, gotohs. They are all just fine but Gotoh makes a bunch of styles and quality is always solid along with reasonable prices.

I use Grovers when I want to go chugg chugg chugg and Schallers for my wannnnnna wannnnnnna weeow weeeeow tone. Then I switch to Gotohs for my beeedop beeeedop beeedop beeeeeedop duddleedooo stuff. This works great.

I've chugged with every one of the tuners mentioned in the thread. It is matters I can't tell

In fact all I do is chug

I'm chugging right now while typing this
