GAS Alert!!!!

That's a mighty fine looking neck.

Sidebar: I've never worn Chucks, but I've been wearing Converse Jack Purcell's for a few years and think I'll be wearing those forever (I even have a custom made pair as well)
I've got a blue canvas pair & a white leather set (hospital required white leather shoes, big win for me)

This is my lusting pair

Good for you! Tell me you got some decent frets on that baby.

Stainless 6105's.  Gonna tru-oil it.

Have you got SS frets on anything else, or will these be a New Thing for you? If so, you are gonna be sooo pleased. They're just a joy to play.

Sounds good to me! That is a awesome fretboard :icon_thumright:

Thanks.  The back of that neck is flame city, too.  I was in a rush to get away from the computer, having sweat my brains out over that choice.  I'll post the photo of the other side tonight.  Might be time to resurrect my tele thread.

Never played SS before - I'm looking forward to it. A lot.  Much as I felt having read and heard about sex long before being invited to participate.  Only maybe not quite to the same degree.  I'm sure some of you can relate.

If you like to bend a lot, you'll like SS.

Problem is you will bend too far until you can control....such a problem to have though  :icon_tongue:

They feel like your bending on ice.....smoooooooooooth

Yeah, you get used to them and end up spoiled in a hurry. Once you play those, everything else feels like a handicap.

Watching Lance Keltner (just a recent video that comes to mind where I saw someone doing this specifically)  - I kinda envy the QUICKNESS and control of bent note - to - bent note vibrator. I can manage bends from here to there ok, strong enough fingers for reasonably long bends, and ok on accuracy (really starting to work on it more lately when I do practice. BUT watching Lance just go bend->wiggle wiggle wiggle -> release. THAT is something I've never really managed. Perhaps playing 11's with lap steel action on a Fender scale for 20 years has something to do with that.  Will SS help with that, or is it all just practice practice practice?
