GAS Alert!!!!

I don't think that many LARP people are into glow stuff.  It probably depends what fantasy world they like to play in, but for the most part, they try to fit a time period, and it's usually the dark ages or the Renaissance.  Unless their character is a fairy or something like that, like the people who go to Labyrinth Ball every year.

They show up to Faire every year and get made fun of.  Even Ren Faire people think they're geeks.  People who play D&D and Magic think they're geeks.  That's pretty low on the geek totem pole.

Ravers on the other hand... probably would paint their homes with GITD sparkle paint.

This one is killer!

I was jokingly suggesting that GITD, like LARPing, is fine for the kiddos but something not cool when you're older and should know better.  Simile, not a metaphor.  All in good fun though.  I think the GITD is very cool, just not for me.

Kirk Hammet has a couple GITD painted guitars, and he's older than we are.... :dontknow:

it is a tie for me between the black (which should loose the white ply), and the vintage pearl:

I think some GITD on a guitar would be sweet, especially if you are doing shows with some black light as a part of your stage lights.  It sure would be easyer than packing fireworks in your humbucker cavity for a glow effect.  I'm almost 33, though, so I don't see myself doing it for my own guitars anytime soon. :laughing7:

Once you reach a certain age, you just don't care whether anyone else thinks something is cool or not...

You've got that right. You make yourself happy, and if it makes others happy, that's fine. If not, let 'em go scratch.

it's different for some people, I hit that age at around 17.

I shave once a week, basically just enough that I can keep up . . .
I bite my fingernails, because they just get in the way in my opinion . . .
I wear my Chuck taylors with holes in them until the heel literally falls off, then I get new ones and do it again . . .
I jump in big puddles on the way to class, because it's fun and everyone at university try to be so reserved and serious . . . . fools
I don't even follow popular music (who here does? really?)
I wear what I have (t-shirt and jeans), while others go to aeropostale or Am eagle to spend a Warmoth guitar's worth of money for a sweatshirt . . .

Hells yeah  :headbang1:

My warwick denim jacket has five ...ish holes in it, with one thats been resown in the left elbow due to constant use for 3 or 4 years, the amount of hobo cracks ive had about it but i love it.
Plus its natural vintage not add another 100 pounds so we can drag it under a lawn mower vintage  :toothy12: :laughing7:

Try this one out B3:  In the morning instead of removing the flannel pajamas and putting on jeans...just put the jeans on over the flannel pajamas.  Most comfort evar!!!  And warm in MN winters!

sorry, but I don't think people who don't care what other people think of them go around bragging about how they don't care what anyone thinks of them.

I don't see how claiming to wear a pair of the most iconic sneaks ever created lends yourself to ambiguity. I wear my chuck taylors with my Levis and my RayBans while I drive my 69 Camaro smokin Camels and listening to Led Zeppelin. :laughing8:
