GAS Alert!!!!

Recently I've had some gas for a fano RB6, overpriced though they may be. I didn't use to like fano, but over the past year they've really grown on me.

Showcase description says that's not black binding, but a masked-off black dye job. Figure it must result in a slightly smoother feel to the top edges and I'd hope it's cheaper too. Certainly wouldn't mind this becoming a standard option. If you could mix and match masked binding from the whole paint range... I'm thinkin' flake binding could be rather tasty.

That is sharp. They've done tinted masked binding before. I have an example of it here. But, I think you have to call for it; it's not in the builder. I happened to get mine from the Showcase.

Dye sticks to other woods, Warmoth just doesn't offer it normally.

This one should be called 'Guitar of the Venturi', or perhaps 'Holley' if you're a car nut.

It says it's Swamp Ash on Swamp Ash.

There's an s-ton of grain fill involved with ash.  The dye and grain fill want to go to the same place but the grain fill was there first.  Maybe just a strip around the edge rather than a whole top makes it doable.

In light of Warmoth's decision not to go to war with Gibson, if one felt like one should purchase one of the final Warmoth LP bodies to roll off the line, one could do a lot worse than this baby:

But they are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy outta my pocket change...

It's all fun and games until someone gets poked in the eye...Or a persuasive tool for a crowd voting on a shred-off... :laughing7:

That's pretty sharp, eh? Not often you see Mahogany or Rosewood that look like that. Plus, SS frets already installed and clear gloss finish all for $406? That's gonna make somebody a very happy camper.

What do you guys think of something like this? After Tele and 72 Thinline builds, I'm starting to GAS for a Jazzcaster, but with a twist:
