Do it before someone else does.

The quilt is pretty but the shape on that bass doesn't do it for me. Wierdness for the sake of wierdness.

i agree. it's just that pointy lower bout that bugs me. i think if that were a little more smoothed out i might like it.

Ruddy three pronged attack:
1. Makes me want another 5 string even though im trying to stick to a warmoth 4 string next.
2 Seriously considering having a go at active pups on this just to justify buying it.
3. I want quilt, Its some mighty fine quilt, damnit

That's a fine looking body.  You don't need active pickups, but a 2-band or 3-band active pre-amp wouldn't be a bad idea.

The only downside is that this body is routed for the Takeuchi T5 bridge, which is in very short supply.  I think Warmoth only has a few of these left and they're all gold-plated.  So unless you want to re-drill the mounting holes for another bridge like a Hipshot, you're stick with a gold Takeuchi.  They're nice bridges though.

Enough rambling.  Go ahead and buy it!

Ah right didnt realise that, must've got one of the last black ones on my first warmoth then  :icon_biggrin:

I so don't need this, but will you look at the grain on this Swamp Ash Tele?

Fixed that for you!

That is an extraordinary body. I'm kinda surprised at the weight. I expected it to weigh a ton. Not that it's light, but...

You're right, all Maple bodies usually weigh a ton...1-piece back no less.

I have an all maple one piece tele that I built eons ago...back when WARMOTH just had that silly catalog with the green paper cover.  That thing is SO light.  Back then WARMOTH was selling both HARD and SOFT maple.  This is considered the soft but by no means is the wood soft.

Is there such a thing as Reverse Burst? with darker transparent on the middle of the body and almost clear transparent at the edges?

I believe the aesthetic name for that is "ugly burst," but yes, it *can* be done.

Elfro - if you are out there, here is a tasty alternative to that trans black quilt you were drooling over several days ago

And this one is done properly - flame like this should never be front routed!
