Garage Band

Hello everyone,

This past week I have been playing around with Garage Band and I am totally blown away.  There is so much stuff on there that I would never use ever!  I remember years ago drooling over this brand new nifty personal recording studio called the BR 8 and I swore to myself that I would have one so that I could revolutionize the music world from my basement.  Anyway I never did get one and it seems to me that Garage band can do way more than the first BR 8 could ever do. The sad thing is, I rarely use it.  I've seen a couple of posts on here by people who have used the drum loops and whatnot but I was wondering if anyone has any songs recorded using Garage Band.  Post em up eh?  I have a half of a song that I wrote when I first started playing guitar just to see if I could make a simple recording and I'll see if I can throw the file up on the internet somewhere and link to it here so y'all can have a listen.

OK I figured out how to post a song on my blog!  :blob7:  I had to turn it into a movie since blogger doesn't support mp3 uploads but thats ok.  Next time i'll turn down the crash and tweak it so it sounds and i'll post i higher quality version.  Anyway enjoy!

I listened to all the previews of your cd!  It sounds good to me!  Did you plug your guitar into an amp or is that an amp that is already on garage band? And are those real drums or are they programmed?

Thanks for the kind words.  The guitar sounds are a modeler (VOX Tonelab) plugged into the audio interface.  Some of the drums are programmed, much of the percussion is not.

For the new album we're using an electronic drum kit run directly into the audio interface.  That rig sounds very very real.
