Very nice! Only thing I see (and it is a personal niggle) is the low E so close to the edge of the fret board.

That's just the camera angle. It's a pet peeve of mine too and one of the reasons I moved away from vintage spacings. I would frequently vibrato the string right off the board (usually high E).

Sorry, looked like the vintage spacing which drives me bonkers. She is a beauty!

Thanks!

I'm with you. Probably not a popular opinion, but down with vintage spacing!

Man, this doesn't happen very often, but I am actually jealous. That guitar is stunning! Every single aspect of that is perfect. Great job!!

Absolutely stunning ! How did you get the flame Koa ? I haven't seen it offered, not even Unique Choice tops.

Yeah, they're really tough to come by. I ordered a UC Koa body a couple of years ago and the UC choices were super slim. Then they removed UC completely. Koa wasn't an option anymore when UC came back. This particular body was part of the limited run of Koa they did almost exactly a year ago.

I got onto the Warmoth site 10 mins after the announcement and I could tell from the graphic they used for the banner that there were definitely some gone already. I was so very lucky and thankful to have been able to snatch this one up! I'm not sure how long the rest lasted, but I think most of them were gone within the day.

Man, what a great snag. That peice is just beautiful !

@ghostrider That is a beautiful instrument. I'm jealous! One thing I'm curious about is the inlay on the fretboard. Did W do that for you or did you get it done elsewhere? Or did you do it yourself? And if W didn't do it, did you start with a neck with fret slots only?

Thank you!

Warmoth did a special run of these inlays about 10 years ago. I called in a couple of years ago was fortunate that they still had one laying around.

That's a double score! I also dig all the parts you chose for it. The whole thing came together nicely as a whole.

Well, I don't expect that we'll be seeing these type of items come through very often if ever, but you've inspired me and I ordered a Koa back set to use as the top layer of a thing I've been contemplating for quite awhile. I'm definitely going off the reservation with this one tho. Hopefully I won't screw it up too bad. 😁

Awesome dude! I'm excited to see how it turns out. Love me some Koa!
