Finally get to enjoy my own bit of Warmoth magic instead of living vicariously through the rest of you! It came straight through to Australia without dramas - for some reason I was expecting a delay in Customs or some such.
Anyway, first up is a Goncalo Alves J bass neck with Satine fretboard and gold frets. I'll add gold tuners to it, and am likely to marry it up with a Mahogany body - though I've still yet to completely decide on the wood. I'm just waiting for the right inspiration.
Secondly is a birdseye maple 12-string neck with jet black ebony board. It's not as exotic as the bass neck, but this will be a very minimalist build. I don't see many 12-strings on the forum and I reckon this build will knock some socks off when completed!
The quality of the finish on both pieces is impeccable. I really do wonder why I ever bought a store guitar.
