First Warmoth Build! (update Finished!!!)

Wired up the control plate today. Tried my best to keep it tidy. Tried out an easy little 50's mod in lieu of a treble bleed circuit. If i don't like it's a 5 minute fix to stock. I also wired the whole thing backwards to mount the control plate in reverse. (my one pet peeve with a Tele is the position of the switch)

So after quite some time I have an update for you guys with plenty of pics. The finish took a while to build up but I refused to cut corners and let it take it's time.

Here she is all buffed, polished, and waxed  (BTW its crazy how much more amber/orange it looks in the sunlight than it does amber/tan brown indoors...)

Tonight I tackled the tuners. I read so much about the dreaded screws that come with Gotoh vintage tuners. Honestly, I just took my time and triple checked everything. This would be my advice to anyone doing anything to a guitar. Just because I'm a little bit redneck doesn't mean my guitar has to be too (at least in its construction)

Wow thank you so much. This whole process is turning into much more than making a guitar for me, I'm learning an awful lot about myself I didn't expect to with this undertaking.

I went ham on my day off today for about 9 hours and am so proud of my new guitar. I learned a great deal along the way. I'll take some "guitar porn" pictures tomorrow. Sadly I only got to play for about 15 minutes and my roommate went to bed cause he works very early. I still have to set up action, saddle/pickup height ect. My only boo boo was not considering string trees when I put the logo on the headstock. It is not drilled or covered up but a bit concealed under the trees.

Body: Swamp Ash
Tinted grain filler
Trans tint amber and mohogoney rubbed into a vintage tobacco burst
Tru oil finish

Neck: Roasted Maple w/ same tint and finish to front and back of headstock. Burnished raw neck
Black Mother of pearl inlays
Graphtech Tusq nut
Nut Width: 1-11/16"
Back Shape: Standard thin
Fret Size: 6150
Tuner Ream: Vintage Style (11/32")
Radius: 10-16" Compound
Scale: 25-1/2"

Goodies (all gold and black): Dimarzio Twang King Neck, True Velvet bridge
SD "smooth turning" 500k pots
.047 Cap
Fender 3 way switch
Gotoh 6 saddle bridge
Gotoh Vintage Tuners
Graphtech Tusq String trees
Dunlop Strap locks

Wired in reverse for control plate flip  :headbang: and with "50's style" tone to volume connection for less treble loss on volume

This is one of the nicest looking Tele's that I've ever seen. I absolutely love the finish you did on this, it looks so good. That amazing body with that beautiful neck just makes the perfect looking guitar.
