A good understated flame finish is awesome I think. Usually in orange or blue, sometimes green or purple. Gotta love 'em! Red and yellow are a little overdone usually I think.

Favorite visual guitar features:

1) Wood grain with transparent finish/stain
2) String-thru TOM but no tail piece behind the bridge
3) Big offset slanted body and long scale neck (eg Jazzmasters)

I'm looking forward to combining all my favorite elements into one custom guitar.....

The balance and comfort of a strat body is unrivaled. I just love how when I sit back in my chair and play, the contours just make the guitar feel like it's a part of you.

My favorite guitar ascetic has to be the Les Paul. Elbow digging into side heavy @!#$ that hangs 2 frets off center and sits in a radically different place than where it sits. Putting up with all that crap because of the results sounds like asceticism to me. Oh aesthetic! Nevermind.

I have a soft spot for hybrid shapes..

I love my Fender Elan (which is basically a carved top Strat) and my Fender RR, which is well.. eh,, some kind of flat top lp jr with 2 short horns..

So the guitar I have been looking for for years and years is a combination of both: the Westone Prestige 250!!! it has been at the top of my "List" for quite some time now...let me know if you have one somewhere in your attic.
