Woo! First truly big neck I'll have ever owned. Rosewood board, maple fatback neck to go on my fiesta red Tele body. Building up a real traditional sounding 60s style Tele.

Can't wait. Thing is, I've had it sprayed satin nitro, and on the confirmation email is says 'showcase items getting paint' have a wait time of 4-5 weeks...is that really the case? I ordered express shipping too....am I really gonna have to wait over a month for this?

you can't rush a good finish.

Tape, spraying (however many it takes), dry/cure time (bulk of the wait)

Satin finishes usually do not take as long as Gloss, but that is the standard dis-claimer.
You also have to take into consideration, there are many orders before yours, and it takes time to get through all of them before the work on yours is complete.
Remember, it is still a production environment.

Yes. Fine finishes take time to do properly, and any attempt to short-circuit that process will compromise the finish.
