EQ's, pedalboards and the signal chain....

Were do you guys usually put the EQ on your pedalboard?? Start? End? In terms of numbers and effects I go..


1. Fliters
2. Compressors
3. Distortion
4. Tremolo, Chorus, Flange
5. Volume pedals or mute switches
6. Delays and reverbs

so what number should I throw the EQ in at?? In between what numbers???

and then I use the controls on the amp for the finish.

I always use my EQ as an extension of my Distortion.

So usually right after my dirt boxes or in the FX loop of my amp. right after the preamp.

When I use EQ, it's in front of the distortion / compression.  JamesL's signal chain is pretty much what works for me.

I throw my eq in right after the distortion, but my amp sucks so i really need it to be an aggressive shaper and boost, i think its more subtle if its before distortion, try both and do whichever you like better.
