EMG Users. I have an old 89. Reasonable as a bridge pickup?

It sounds like I've got exactly what I need then, since my 89 is not one with the quick connect, but rather the splayed group wiring hardwired to the provided 25k Push/Pull pot.

I'll look into finding a used Blackout SC & wire it up to the same pot with my usual toggle/pot/pickups wire scheme (basically, sans the tone pot) and I'm good to go.

Pot Up= Tele SC  Sweetness
Pot Down=Shredtastic.

Yes, but one of them can be directed to a pickup toggle, then the hot from the pickup toggle will go to that terminal.
I presume that I would just solder the lead from the Blackout similarly so that both pickups are either full on with the 89 in Humbucker mode and the Blackout on full power, then switched so the 89 is split & the Blackout drops in volume.
