Hi all.
I've just ordered (other day) my 1st custom body build, using the body builder.  :icon_biggrin:

Just a hint of it …
Chambered Standard Stratocaster® Mahogany on Black Korina, Rear Rout,
Contour heel, Binding on Top, Solid colour, Hard Tail,
Wood mounted pickups ….. Blar Blar Blar

I know this will take a while & even might not get, before end of year.
Thats all OK with me. Busy time at work anyway.

:icon_scratch: I was just wondering ….
Do they send some pic's to me of it before shipping out ?
Or in it's process ?
:dontknow:
All thou part of the excitement :blob7: is like waiting to see which sex it will be at child birth.  :toothy12:
Thanks …  :icon_thumright:

I wouldn't imagine they've got the time for such. Manufacturing is time consuming enuff, time is money... And there's no money in lost time... :dontknow:

Thanks  :icon_thumright:  Just wondered & didn't know.

Oh well .... Now I can look forward to seeing my 3rd birth  :toothy10:

Photographing during manufacturing is not cost effective.
If it's not hitting the showcase, then there's no practical need for it.
The end user is going to photograph their body/neck themself anyway once they receive it, and then post it under "Just Out of The Box".

Actually thought they might take pic's of all custom finished body builds for their own portfolio of sorts.
For their future reference / idea's / finishes etc etc.
Plus just how many Custom build orders, actually get shown in 'Just out of the box'
Not that many I suspect !!

Just like some of those showcase beauties, never to be seen again

But, I'll sure show mine off, whenever I get it  :icon_biggrin:

As soon as I'll receive my neck and body, I'm going to make pics of them and put them in "Right Out Of The Box".
:hello2: :hello2:

I am soooo proud of my custom build neck and body, they just will look sooooooo georgeous together, like a match made in heaven.  :toothy10: :toothy10:

I just have to wait for weeks and months before I get the first package, but I'm trying to stay patient.  :blob7: :blob7:

It is exceptionally rare something will get photographed.  Pulling something out of production messes with the production process.  About the only time it happens is if Gregg or myself are walking around doing the Warmoth today shots or if we're upgrading website images.  (In other words, rare.)

Hey Wylee,

and on top Gregg is sadly enough no longer a member of the W. team.  :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Bye  JULIA

Theres been maybe 2 instances in the last 4 years that something was SO AWESOME, that gregg had to share it with us, thats not the norm, and in a sense may be wrong to do, but these were so awesome, even he could not help but share, and we all drooled

I'm glad they don't. We document our builds because it prolongs the enjoyment. Look! Cool pictures to share, because I'm still waiting on getting the next piece.  I don't want Warmoth slowing down my neck to take pictures of your quilted massacar ebony / bubinga pinstripe topped cocobolo necked f-holed carved top LPS no matter how awesome it is.

Besides, when you're running a business - you don't want to throw out crappy pics that Roy in production took. Especially in a business where you're selling artsy wood.  Real photographers are picky about lighting and setup, and f-stop and dust on the velvet backdrops and that smudge that isn't visible to the naked eye but really pops with flash.
