Day jobs?

air force "aircraft metals technology journeyman"
i love working with metal but hate the airforce.

i'm sick of busting my knuckles and being productive only to watch others win awards because they have a vagina! the air force is the most left wing bunch of hippies in the millitary and afermative action runs ramped. there are quotas for who wins what and females pacages that go in for awards are looked at seperately, the real problem is there aren't many females eligable for each award at the same time so it's a garenteed win!
they even changed the long valued milatry tradition of folding the flag because what one of the folds represents makes mention of God.
i can go on all day but i'll stop complaining now

previously i was an out of work auto mechanic. i was still in high school i just fixed the neibors cars out of my fathers garage, learned everything from him. and i mean everything! the only old timer that isn't afraid of feul injection that i know. he worked at a foreign car dealership when it all came out in the 70's and learned it when it was new.
also learned electronics from him.

oh forgot to mention residential electrician
and unoficially a guitar repairman but only for my friends.
and now my night job is guitar/equipment tech for my friend justins blues band.
i guess his name is unique if you google him the first 5 results are him from rock climbing to "soul kara" to hockey.

Dude, this band is GREAT!   :headbang:

i'll tell justin he has a new fan...
... wait, new member, january 15, who are you, could this be jake plugging his own band?
if not i thought that would be humorous.
i did just turn the bass player on to warmoth.

University drop-out...(Chemistry...what was I thinking)...due to guitar playing ebsession :headbang1:
Then guitar teacher, working from home.
(I got into repairing guitars at the same time as buying my first electric, aged about 14.
Completely ruined my first one, and I've been getting better since!)
Then sales and repair at local music store...stayed their for 13 years  :dontknow:
Left the music store to set up guitar repair shop about 3 years ago...lovin' it!

Ass.Man?  No way!
Sales Manager...which I guess you would shorten to Sales.Man?
Either way sounds bad to me....that's why I left!

Joking apart, I left because the Directors wanted more sales, and I wanted more quality and customer service etc...
It was cool when the store was small...I could spend time with the customers.
Later on, we moved to much larger premises, and the emphasis was on cheaper guitars (with more profit margin).
At one time I was able to offer a proper set up (including fret dress on expensive models) in the sales price.
Later, that became an extra cost option, and less popular.

THAT'S why I left.  :party07:

Oh God! I'm not alone in the world!!! Cheers!  :eek:ccasion14:
That is what a believe, perhaps someday I can build some guitars (probably won't be my main money-maker, here in my country, it's very informal...)

I work as a manager for the largest housebuilding company in the UK - they also build in the US. I look after their social housing business - probably what you would call the construction of "project housing" in the US, for lower income families.

Hey, Doc, there's a really annoying trumpet player in my school band who can't really play. Any recommendations? :p

No job yet other than lawn mowing, but I plan on getting one very soon to pay for music equipment/instruments. And other things.

Currently "Sr. Systems Engineer" for a large cell phone OEM. This entails pointing out the obvious to sales/mrkting types and attempting to keep their heads from the rectal position and daily battling the evil minions of Sprint.

RF Engineer doing optomization and design work for all major cell carriers....our paths may cross sooner or later
