Custom neckplate

Question Doug:

I'm unemployed so I don't even have $40 to spare, but should be employed in a few weeks if all goes well. Once I do have $40, would it be possible to put this dinosaur on the neck plate? ...weird I know. http://pnmedia.gamespy.com/planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/fms/images/mods/8623/1281202972_fullres.jpg

Yeah, I've played the F**K out of Morrowind (literally thousands of hours) and there are no such creatures...  :help: :toothy11:

I wouldn't mind some Skooma or Moon Sugar on the table over there though!

That doesn't look like "Zoso" at all. How's he gonna play any Zep? Shave his mustache off? Sheesh!

Seriously, though. Looks very good. Wish I had an original thought now and then.

So this is in relation to the pic above. It's an aluminum strat jack machined out of a solid piece of billet. Yes, it's still got tooling marks all in it, but I was asked by the customer to leave them on it. Lots of 3D work involved in this piece...As far as I know, I've not seen one made from aluminum... :icon_biggrin:

Now that's flipping awesome!!!!  :headbang1:

That's an interesting piece, and you did a good job on it - that had to be pain in the shorts to program - but I'm having trouble seeing the point of it. If it were polished, it wouldn't be that much different from the stamped/plated part. A trained eye would see it from up close, but...

I would think if one had access to a 5 or 6 axis mill, they'd want to make something unique, or that eliminates the deficiencies or failings of previous designs.

Or, is it just not done yet?

It was pretty daunting. I guess for the person that wanted it it is unique, that's the point. And it is finished, and I suppose the purpose of leaving the tooling marks in it is to set it apart from the store bought ones...It adds character I think, just that little nuance...

For something new and unique - I wish the Graph Tech people would make a 13 pin strat jack for their system. That would totally rock.
