Hello guys, how are you?
I thought you would like to see the classical guitar I've built in a course.
It's based on Hauser Sr Vienna model, has 625mm scale, German Spruce top, very figured Caviuna back... this piece is one of a kind, the guy who sold me saw it only on this block, who he could get 2 sets, the other, a vary famous luthier from here bought.
Hope you enjoy!

It sounds good... need some time to settle down and I haven't played in long time, but it had a balanced sound, with nice brights and lows... Sustain a lots too! were afraid of the smaller body could sound too bright or the smaller scale lenght could sound loose, but worked well with extra hard strings...

Wow! That is very impressive!
Completely on another level than assembling an electric guitar.
Well done! :eek:ccasion14:

Very impressive indeed! Looks absolutely gorgeous. I see that the 1 & 6 strings are wound backwards on the pegs, is that a feature of this style of instrument? The pegs seem to be lined up in a straight line, which appears to make the reverse wind necessary.

Absolutely the coolest. Very beautiful work.  :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Yes, they wind reverse than the others... also, as they're mechanical pegs, both E had to be switched, as the tension of the strings helps keep them in place.
There are pictures of the whole process on the Facebook:

Wow, what a beautiful guitar! The back is unbelievable, what a find! The rosette is quite intriguing, what sort of a material is it?

Very nice!

So, did you end up with a lot of unusual tools as a result? That's one of the things that's stopped me more than once with acoustics.

No, I've made a course with a luthier, in his workshop... didn't need to buy any tools...
All I shall have are the molds, but I'm not sure if I am going to build another acoustic...

Just finished checking out your FB thread, BRAVO! I'd love to be able to do something like that. Perhaps when I retire......

Beautiful!

A course in a luthier's shop sounds like a wonderful experience. Bet you enjoyed it.
