You think you got it bad. Like the old joke about 'what's worse than finding a worm in an apple?' - Having half a guitar in pretty BK is even worse than not having one.
Somewhat regret having the default Strat 1 tone control hole drilled, was originally going to use either a vol pot there but with option #2 there is a mini toggle in the large hole instead. Nothing a washer can't fix.
Some progress - controls finally drilled (I deliberated for ages then just went for it, hope it works out!) ferrules installed, cavity lined, bridge and strap buttons attached. Next is wiring once I sort out some screws for mounting the pikcups.
If anyone's interested, this is how a hipshot bridge looks installed over the narrow-spaced strat bridge holes... bridge screws close to line up but the strings don't. Hopefully is ok.
