Well, heck, that's a lovely guitar.  Got any other particulars?  Pickups/electronics?  Hardware appointments?  Neck specs?

Otherwise:  Daaaaamn.  That's a pretty axe.

Sorry!  Just edited post

Wow! Welcome to the board, and what an entrance! That's a helluva fine fiddle you've got there. There's no shot of the rear of the headstock, so I'm curious if that's a veneered headstock or is that how it came from Warmoth?

In any event, lotta great choices there. If it plays/sounds half as good as it looks, you're a very fortunate man.

What do you mean by veneered?  And yes that is how it came from Warmoth :)

For a small upcharge, Warmoth will put a thin piece of wood over the face of a headstock to change its appearance for aesthetic reasons. For instance, if you would like the headstock to match the body, like a quilted Maple veneer over standard Maple neck meat to match a quilted Maple top on the body.

interesting.  Never heard of that and didn't see it as an option on the site.

It's described on this page, but not in the Builder, so unless you're digging around the site for every last detail about an expensive part you're about to order sight unseen, you could miss it.

Warmoth actually offers a number of interesting little options like that. You can tell by looking at some of their parts that they have the tools, talent and material to do just about anything; whether or not they will  is another question. Sometimes things like the headstock veneer are listed in less obvious places, other times you have to call and ask. For instance, nowhere on-site do they mention that they'll re-cut a Strat headstock to a Warhead, but they will if you ask. It's also not obvious you can have necks finished in anything other than clear, but many of their finishes can be applied to necks as well (see here, scroll down).

Even though they already have the best display/order site for such parts of anyone in the industry by far, they're working on a new site design partly because of these little non-obvious details. It's just taking some time because it's not a trivial task. The existing site is probably eleventy-bajillion lines of code with a LOT of interacting dependencies, so I don't envy them the job.

In the meantime, many of the members here at "unofficial" Warmoth are hopeless guitar/bass building addicts, and have been around long enough to see a lotta fantastic work come out of Puyallup and from other members, so it pays to ask around if an idea pops in your head.

Incidentally, the reason I asked if your headstock was veneered is because it's so fantastic-looking, it seems like the odds of that happening naturally would be up there with winning the Powerball lottery  :laughing7:

That black to clear really does this one justice. Outstanding build, to say the least. Congrats.

Wow! I have to agree with evereybody else. That is an outstanding looking Regal. The finest looking I've seen.

A fine looking guitar.

It does not look like a veneer, if you look at the truss rod rout on the headstock the grain continues in there also. A good looking piece of Wenge for sure either way.

I also think the  fantastic-looking headstock was veneered  :occasion14:

the black hardware really matches up all the wood look  :hello2:

Fantastic instrument! Love that body, but damn, now I'm going to have to build one of them too! Oh well, can't have too many guitars.... :headbang:
