can I convert an old ibenze neck and headstock to look like a telecaster????

Ok, is this crazy?  I have an older Ibenez guitar that I no longer use and actually like the rosewood fretboard and neck in general.  I don't think it's long enough to become a telecaster shape but would it be possible to cut to off the headstock, (at an angle maybe to give it more surface area?) and to glue a new piece of wood on to shape like a tele? Fill in some holes if needed?  This doesn't need to be factory perfect and might look cool pieced together with that DIY vibe if it's possible.

As I'm writing this I realize I should check the length and see if it would even fit on the guitar body but I had a crazy idea and am already over budget on this build.  Basic wood working skills here with some saw and stuff.  I've finished framing, baseboards and built in cabinets before so I'm handyish?

Just get a wizard tele. Necks are priced low relative to the value provided divided by work involved.
