if you like one, you should buy one to support a local business.

agreed, I'm not clicking the link either. Just cut to the chase and say something about amps that we might be interested in.

They are all tube amps of course, point to point wired, and just look absolutely beautiful. The way they are designed, one can get some really great sounding distortion/ natural overdrive without losing clarity and the bass just booms. As well as shimmering highs. One can get a wide range of woods for cabinets, There is an order in that involves ebony for the head enclosure.

Thought i might just share this company that offers a great product for anyone looking for a new amp.

Here are some pics and videos. Let your eyes and ears be the judge. Plus, a good amp can make a huge difference in making a custom guitar sound even better! The shop also does custom orders, so whatever you want/ can dream up, Ben can probably do.

I really enjoyed the Spalted Maple one :laughing7:

And REALLY like the tone on the Meat Smoke! Can you ask him which pickups he is using on his bass?
I'd buy one of these amps if I get a bass and had money, what is, now, more a dream than reallity

I am not quite sure what the pickups are but the other day he was testing out a meatsmoke and got a random bass and the sound was still amazing! He was able to get feedback (the cool sounding kind) with ease.

Yeah that is the one down side, they are pretty spendy but well worth it! I am torn between a new amp or a warmoth tele.. such a hard decision

I find the internet post about supporting a "local" amp maker amusing. Local to who?

Oh i guess i fail to mention that. The shop is in Seattle, Wa. So local to people in or near the city. So maybe it would be more appropriate to say; support a small business.

I'm considering a Jet City amp, which is also Seattle based :)

The company, as far as design and pencil pushing, is Seattle based but production and manufacturing is all in China.
Indeed.

That sounded as good as anything can sound on Youtube Video through computer speakers.  I would be interested to know if playing live with a little more energy and duration would the clean channel, not being driven, fart out and get flabby like so many do - which is almost always a cab problem and not a head problem?  Also, what configuration is the cab.  I'd be interested in playing any piece of gear call "Meatsmoke."

I haven't had a whole lot of time to play through the various amps but when i do i will definitely update with my opinion. I am not sure the cab configuration, but once i find out the specs i will also update with that.

For the meatsmoke, I did hear him test out a head with I believe KT120 power tubes and it was the best sounding bass tone i've heard live. The perfect amount of everything in my opinion.

I looked at their cabs, and I think that's a 410.  And I'm sure that head can cut the mustard, but with bass especially, how it sounds by itself and how it sounds with a band are 2 different things.  Having said that, I've seen dream rigs flab and fart out when being pushed, that's kind of what I was wondering with this.  We know it sounds good in the store, what about when I get it home?
