Hopefully someone will find some..."amusement"...in this...so...here goes...

As some of you may know...I've been trying to pick up an OFR to complete the Kramer Maple Board Tele Project...but I've hit a run of BAD LUCK in the last 3 weeks...

- had to put tires and some other maintenance into a van for a family vacation
- day before the vacation my basement got flooded resulting in a homeowner's insurance claim and all that that entails as far as mitigation/reclaimation of the water...no damages to my guitars/amps thank God
- then the battery and transmission went out and had to be replaced/rebuilt while on vacation...quite simply...THAT MESS SUCKED
- while stranded for two days and waiting for the tranny repair in Pacifica, CA...my wife fell on a rock in the surf on the beach and fully broke off half of one of her upper front teeth
- we finished the vacation...2 wks in California...San Fran to San Diego all the way down HWY 1 then drove home, w/a nite in Vegas no less...
- just in time for a wind/hail storm resulting in another homeowner's claim...
- yesterday I got home to find the letter from my homeowner's carrier cancelling my policy due to the Water Damage Claim...hadn't even submitted the wind/hail damage claim...and I've only been w/them 30 Days and the Water Damage Claim happened on the first day of coverage...I HATE INSURANCE CARRIERS!!!

so...whatever happens next...HELL...JUST BRING IT ON :evil4:!!!

sorry about your bad luck :(
things like that usually happen all at the same time for me too..

Did you at least win some of your money back in Vegas?

Well...Vegas was at least good for a few laughs...my 10 y/o son was collecting casino chips...cool...but I haven't been there in 10 years...and it seems every casino now has scantily clad go go dancers...

so...my 10 y/o son, who is 5'6", 155 lbs and fairly mature for his age as everyone thinks he's a few years older and treats him like a teen...simply commented on the girls being "hot like Megan Fox"...

my 9 y/o autistic stepson must have liked them...because he was "wolf whistling" at the girls...

my 11/y/o stepson was simply awestruck and stared speechlessly in amazement at the girls w/his mouth open and his lower jaw on the floor..

my 14 y/o daughter was like..."ho alert"...and we had an interesting discussion about "legal prostitution" due to the streets LITERALLY being covered w/Escort/Prostitutes Nude Business Cards and all the guys trying to pass them out to EVERYONE!

Of course there were a few "Bachlorette Parties" walking around w/veils that had...

a) about 25 small hot pink plastic penises on them
b) one bobbing glowing penis on a spring directly on the forehead

and

c) a balloon creation of a penis in condom off white color w/a clear ballon attached to the head swirling out in circles representing semen...

"Family Fun" in Vegas on a Saturday Night... :blob7:

homeowners insurance sucks. If there are any claims made they usually drop you and then the next insurance company will know about the claims made to your home, even if they were made by previous owners. You have to have it but you can't ever use it.

You darn sure summed it up. I was w/Allstate for 16 years on my homeowner's & auto...had some claims but never got dropped. Met Life dropped me due to "Claim made in first 60 days of policy". Met Life (insert expletive here) SUCKS!!! Worst part of it is...I've been a Claims Examiner for the last 11 years. Bit-o-irony there!  :toothy12:

Oh...I am MOS DEF HAPPY that my guitars were not in the area that got damaged. That truly would have been a kick in the ballz!

A "Blues Tune" huh? I'll have to contemplate that one.  :eek:ccasion14:
