Alpine White, Black Binding, Stunning Neck

Thanks all for your comments  :icon_biggrin:

Plus those with the idea of using white pickups, but sorry to those guys, as I'm staying with
whats in it, after a week of NOT being able to put it down, and some tweaking.
Was concerned with neck & middle pups.
But .... Have come to enjoy the pups in it now. After getting a good play around & listen.

Anyway, here's what I've been waiting to do, to finish it off completely.
What a bloody headache I created doing this.

In the last pic, it's just sitting on top to see how it'll look.

Will be putting it on later today, take some more completed pic's on the weekend.
Then will post in completed section.

Thanks again for all your comments  :icon_thumright:  and I too think it's a 'Clean Looking Guitar' with a TS & some BK under the bonnet.

Is really great to play, finding it very hard to pull another guitar out to play.

Cheers  :occasion14:

:icon_scratch: .... Hope Doug doesn't shoot me  :icon_jokercolor:

Hey, how did you install the back ferrules?  The picture only shows the awl.  Did you use the soldering iron heat method or did you use a file to clear the back holes a little bit?

NO I DON'T use the soldering method ..... Never would.
That is completely unnecessary

Just dill them out (with a drill press) with 5/16'' ... my press is crap so ...
I hold sharp drill bits in my hand slowly turning them back & forward slowly working my way up in sizes till 5/16''
Taking little slivers of paint off each time.
Testing ferrules as I go.

Hey if your to scared then I suggest wrapping fine sandpaper around a pencil & turn round & round.

Never Up & Down !!  with whatever you use.

This is from another guitar showing how I push them in, with a light tap of the hammer.

Nice! I like it - that one really came out nice. All I did was basically drop fill, but it really made the contrast pop.  (But taking pictures of shiny flat surfaces absolutely sucks.)
