All Rosewood Tele with Lollar CC pickups

Just recently ordered the neck pickup and got things finished up.  Yes, I'm missing the switch tip, a pickguard screw, and intentionally put the control plate on upside down.  First build, gimme a break!  All parts except pickups came from Warmoth.  Great stuff!

Specs:

-  Indian Rosewood on Indian Rosewood semi-hollow Thinline Body  (maple sandwiched between top/back and between back pieces)
-  One Piece Indian rosewood neck
-  Schaller locking tuners
-  Stacked vol/tone for both pickups
-  Lollar Charlie Christian bridge and neck for humbucker route

I finished the body myself with tung oil, and it turned out okay.  A little splotchy some places; I'll do better next time.  Pickups and wood sound great together.  Flatwound 10's.  Thick, jazzy sound with lots of chime.

Nice user name.  Nicer guitar.  Make that...AWESOME GUITAR!

Have you weighed it yet?

Just did with super scientific bathroom scale methods.  Came in at 7.8 lbs, I think the hollow sides saved it from being too heavy.

Thanks guys.  Sound test fiile here:  http://www.mediafire.com/?ai1gc11sf3jt162
Well that was fabulous! How did you record it? When I played it, there was an advert for some ED medicine. Not the second time I clicked on it though. Rosewood is enough for me, don't need no  medcine!
Great stuff honestly, great job. :hello2:

thanks!  I use a digi002 with pt8 and went in direct for this.  Amplitube 3 for an AC30 type setup.

The concentric pots and knobs were both from warmoth.  Here's a link to the pots:  http://www.warmoth.com:80/Concentric-Pot-500k-By-CTS-P720C74.aspx

The knobs turned out pretty large but I like having the ability to blend in the middle position, which is hum cancelling.

this thing looks incredible. You ever record any samples of this guitar? I'm both curious about an all rosewood guitar and the charlie christian pickups. I reckon it's a fat sounding guitar

That thing is awesome!  I have wanted a rosewood Tele for a while now.  I wish the wood wasn't so expensive!  Congrats on a really nice build.  :eek:ccasion14:

but ah, did you know that you are missing one pick guard screw and the switch tip, and ah, is that control plate on upside down?
