"Afra" Afromosia Versus Hard Maple

I'm looking to get a replacement strat neck. I want to make sure that the guitar is more on the warmer side than the brighter side, but still sounding exactly like a strat with a nice crunch. I'm thinking about getting a rosewood fingerboard with an "Afra" Afromosia neck back instead of hard maple. Has anyone heard that combination and does my plan sound like a success?!!

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do an Afra neck, and it's very rarely ever talked about.

Unless it's known by some other name?

Edit: Warmoth says it needs a finish, so I would find some other wood that doesn't.

oh haha, for whatever reason I was thinking he was using one of the alternate names for mahogany. I'm calling back my last post. If warm is your thing you can get mahogany which needs a finish, or goncalo alves or rosewood which both don't.
