Add tinted nitro clear coat on top of finished Warmoth neck?

I just received a new neck that I ordered with Warmoth's "vintage satin nitro". I love the neck, but the finish is very light and subtle, almost looks naked. I'd like to spray it with some Reranch tinted nitro clear coat, as that would fit the look of my project best. Do you think I would have any problem spraying on top of the existing nitro satin finish? Should I sand a bit of gloss back into it before I spray? Any other advice on this? Thanks in advance.

Is it certain that it is vintage satin, it doesn't match the photos on the Warmoth site of that tint. Might be worth checking your order.

Looks naked to me, too. But, clear satin does look that way, so they put a little red dot on the heel to indicate that it's been finished. If the finish doesn't match the order, I'm sure Warmoth will make it good. But, to answer your original question, it is as DMRaco said - nitro on nitro is just fine. Has to be, because it usually takes numerous coats to get it finished in the first place.
