I recorded this Pop song already last year (all vocals, instruments) on my own.
But my lead vocals never convinced me. They were just not good enough to add the necessary atmosphere and to interpret the lyrics in an appropriate way.
So to me, this song project came to a not very satisfying first end.
Because I always believed in the quality of the song arrangement, I started a second try a few weeks ago.
And I was lucky to find an outstanding singer who was willing to rerecord the lead vocals and to do a bit of vocal arrangement as well. This guy really has added some glamour and atmosphere to my song.
And I guess we will do some stuff in the future as well.
Guitar-wise this song needs no epic shredding parts, but various decent chord voicings, triads, two tone parts and Fill-Ins.
I spent a lot of time on a good song arrangement and the Mixing/Mastering part.
And it makes me thinking: sometimes a second try can help to get things right ...
