Steve Morse Highland Wedding Redux (step by step)

Seven years ago I did a multitrack version of this tune; re-doing it again with newer studio gear & knowledge.

My fingers remember a lot of it but definitely had to practice parts over and over; still work in progress.

And I haven't touched the 2nd part of the song; let alone the solos yet.

Anyways here's a rough snippet of the intro; testing tone, ambience and the like (BTW using a Warmoth strat):
