It's here! Woohoo!

All my parts arrived yesterday and I've just come home and unpacked them. I have one word: WOW! I'm so impressed by these parts.
It's a 7/8 Strat in swamp ash, universal routing, hardtail and painted transparent blue.

Pictures I hear you say? Of course! Here are some pictures and more will follow in my build thread later on.

Beautiful workmanship on this neck. Fret dressing? I don't know if that will be necessary. This looks and feels awesome!

WOW.  That thing is freakin' BLUE!!!!!  Gonna be a thing of beauty.  Personally I like the white pickguard, now you just need white P-90 covers.  (although you might check out Quickguards pickguard material-there are some really interesting choices there and Mike Quick is great to deal with.  Mike has done 2 for me and both fit perfectly)

Looks like a solid workhorse and pretty too. Must be tough deciding which pickup configuration you'll choose. Best to just get three of the same body and make three guitars.  :headbang1:

I love the blue of this body.  Prefer the White pickguards, but I think until the pickups and hardware are there it could go either way.

Thanks guys.
Yes, I'm very happy with how the blue color turned out. I was going for alder first but in the online builder the transparent blue didn't seem that nice on alder as it is on swamp ash. Could just be a lighting thing of course. You can see how the color changes from picture to picture here, so I've got a totally different understanding now of what Aaron means when he says that the color of a body is extremely difficult to capture on film.

@Vetteman - Thanks for the tip on Quickguards.

@Twanking: On deciding on the pickup configuration - this is actually why I got the three pickguards. I already have the Strat and mini humbuckers and am waiting for the P90's to show up at my supplier. Then I'll wire each pickguard up and swap them and try them out one at a time. The one that finally gets my vote is the one that'll stay.

And my supplier actually recently got white P90 pickup covers. But that would mean i would have to get a fourth pickguard from Warmoth should I decide to go with P90's and a white pickguard.

Well, only time will tell.
I'm thinking of doing some recordings with the different pickups and posting the results and let you guys hear the difference.

@Cagey - Yes I believe it will be a helluva guitar. Perfect for me anyway.  :icon_thumright:

And I personally also think that this color is best complemented with the white pickguard.
